Elizabeth K. Fox
Elizabeth practices primarily in the areas of family law and appeals. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeal, Fifth Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and Jefferson Parish Bar Association, as well as the Association of Women Attorneys.
Elizabeth attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law on scholarship and graduated with her J.D., cum laude, in 2020. She returned to Loyola to pursue her LL.M, again on scholarship, and graduated summa cum laude in 2021. Previously, Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2008 and 2015, respectively.
During law school, Elizabeth was a research assistant for Professor Blaine LeCesne and completed judicial internships with Hon. Dawn L. Amacker, Div. L, 22nd Judicial District Court, and Hon. Roland L. Belsome, State of Louisiana, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. She thoroughly enjoyed her time as a Student Practitioner in the Children’s Rights Clinic under the supervision of Professors Ramona Fernandez and Cheryl Buchert, and is grateful to them for their continued guidance and support. Additionally, Elizabeth had the great pleasure of being lead attorney and co-counsel with Sarah Flettrich on a case involving the definition of bad faith and constitutionality of La. Civ. Code art. 198, in which she wrote the appellate brief and delivered oral argument before the Louisiana Supreme Court. As a result of her performance on the case, Elizabeth earned awards for Outstanding Clinic Student from the Association of Women Attorneys, as well as Outstanding Clinic Team from the Clinical Legal Education Association.
Elizabeth lives in Springfield, LA with her husband, Matthew Jerome, and their two sons. When she is not zealously advocating for her clients, she enjoys working out and going to Sunday brunch with her boys.
